Question by Jacob: Can running get you some ripped abs?
I heard running works every muscle or almost every muscle in your body. Will running contribute to you getting some really ripped or washboard abs?

P.S.- I don’t want to be massive I just want to be lean.

It depends on your genetics. One thing for certain is that running will burn calories, which should reduce fat, and make your muscles more prominent. So in that sense, running might give you washboard abs.

More than likely, if you want to have ripped abs, you should throw in some ab workouts after your cardiovascular exercises.

    Ok here’s the deal, I was flabby abs, from a kid to an adult, had two kids and got worse abs.

    I’ve only been doing running for 10 months, and nothing else and I’ve got the flattest tummy I ever dreamed of (quite happy about it!!) and starting to get the definition on the sides and under the ribs. So if I can do it, there’s hope for everyone lol!

    hell to the yes, guys get jealous and girls love it, you gotta eat right too though. lay off the fast food, and try to get your body used to a routine with food. you’re on your way ; )
