Q&A: How long does it take to get ripped abs?

Question by aimer_4: How long does it take to get ripped abs?
I want to get an amazing mid-section, and I’m wondering how long I should expect to have to wait till I see results. I am fairly thin, I have aboupt 10 lbs to lose which I am. I work out lots, and under the layer of fat there are tough abs, how long should I expect to wait?
Bonus…and suggestions of what I should stick with? thanks

the right way should take you 5 weeks. anything quicker and it’s not fat, it’s muscle you’re burning up. so, you should be running a 500 calorie deficit and doing some cardio

great abs are made in the kitchen not from doing hours of abdominal training weekly. everyone on the planet has a 6-pack but to “see” the entire abdominal wall with out flexing you need to have much lower than average levels of body fat and that is a direct function of the diet not of exercise.

for men this is close to 10% body fat and for women around 20%. the key to reducing body fat is by controlling insulin through the diet. follow a low GI diet to control insulin and exercise at a high level of intensity to excite the metabolism. you don’t even need to do any ab training to get a 6-pack, it only helps slightly to build the muscles of the mid-section making them more pronounced when the layer of fat on top of them is removed.

low carb high protein diet eating 6 small meals a day
and doing lots of circuit training and for a beatiful set of ripped 8 pack abs u need to train them everyday for at least 30 minutes….
u need to start off doing the entire midsection and then move to a lower ab one day upper the next, and obliques on the third day routine
oxygen mag has a ripped abs magazine that u can order
julie lohre (who has a great midsection) sells a vid with her secrets
and you can go to bodybuilding.com and click on exercises then abs for new workouts so that you can add workouts all the time

    best regards
also eat lots of protein and have somebsn syntha 6 protein every morning

    Hey aimer,

I use a really good weight training and healthy diet program called truth about abs.

I bought the program from the recommendation at http://www.TruthAboutAbsBlog.com for $39

This was the best $39 I have ever spent. He gives you detailed workouts for you to follow, and a great diet plan. Overall this was a great investment in myself.

Sounds like this could be just what you need

    Anyway I hope this helps.

    Love Samantha
