Or will it just work muscles that are under so much fat that i shouldnt even bother?

    You won’t get exactly skinny.
    You’ll just have a 6 pack showing through your flab

    youll need to do a ton of cardio to shed the fat, otherwise you’re just working the ab muscles underneath your fat which isnt going to show. And doing just ab exercises isnt going to lose only belly fat just so you know, youll need to do a lot of cardio

    I used to have a six pack and I still do and can feel it but it is now under two inches of belly!
    The only way out is to get fit, sorry if that’s not the quick fix you are looking for.
    But if you do situps you might get into using your body and that might evolve into chin ups, push ups, the work.
    That’s how I start anyway, from little things then I get into it and hit it harder and harder.
