I think my brother is turning into a workout fanatic?

Question by Mario: I think my brother is turning into a workout fanatic?
ok, so i’m 18, and my brother is 15

i workout a lot, cuz i like feeling strong lol

the thing is, my brother used to be a gymnast, but stopped when he was 10, and didn’t really exercise, up until february or so

since then, he’s been obsessed with working out

the problem is, i’m going to start the sylvester stallone routene workout this summer, cuz i’m ready for a challenge, but he wants to do it too

he’s too young to be bodybuilding this much, it’s bad for his growth plates and health, or something like that, i just know heavy lifting at his age is too much

well, i don’t mind that he’s using light weights, and doing lots of pushups and crunches, i actually encourage him to do that. But the stallone workout involves really heavy weights, a very crazy nutrition plan, and he will hurt himself if he does it, i know it

ever since he saw rocky IV on may 1st, he’s been obsessed with it. It’s scary. He’s always talking about how he needs to eat the right foods or else he’ll be “fat”, even tho he has ripped abs at such a young age

i’m worried, cuz that’s all he talks about. He watches rocky IV on his ipod once a day. Or looks at pictures. He’s always talking about working out, and he’s not listening to me when i tell him he’s going a bit too far with the heavy weights

how can i convince him not to do the stallone routene with me? i’m just worried, Electronic Check cuz he’s absolutely OBSESSED with working out. And i don’t want him to get hurt and affect his growing

At 15 he should probably be fine… let him try it and if it’s too much for him he’ll know, and that’s when you can encourage him to try something different, like normal benchpresses or pull/push ups. He seems to look up to you, so model non-obsessive behavior, like cheating on food every once in a while and offering him some, and talking him down when he says he’ll be “fat.”

haha p.s., he’s not that much younger than you are. it wasn’t all that long ago that you were his age.
