What are some exercises I can do at home or outside for tightening the buttocks and abs?

Question by : What are some exercises I can do at home or outside for tightening the buttocks and abs?
I’d love a personal trainer but I can’t afford one :( The main parts I’m trying to tighten up are my buttocks and abs, everything is decent enough. I already go jogging for an hour, 20 minutes of jumping rope, leg lifts and walking lunges. Because of my busy life I only do this every other day. What are some other exercises I can squeeze in to see results? Also, do you suggest I try to do it everyday instead of every other day?

Lunges are great – keep doing those. Squats are the best exercise for butt toning – try it with whatever heavy thing you can hold, like gallon milk jugs filled with water (a gallon of water is between 8 and 9 pounds). Climb or jog on stairs, if it doesn’t bother your knees. Even bending fairly far down at the waist and straightening back up can work your buttocks, if you learn how to do it right and use them to pull yourself back up. It would probably be best to do different exercises on alternating days, but as long as you’re not doing any of your exercises with a lot of weight, then I think it would be all right for you to do them every day. Best of luck!

Listen to the other guy about squats. They are the best exercise for the butt.
For abs, you want to be doing crunches. There’s also a video on YouTube called “7 minute abs” or something, and it works great.
