I’m 16, male 116 pounds. i used to have alot of belly fat, but with 2 years of distance running, they’re almost gone. My friend told me ther is still fat on my stomach. Thats y my abs r not ripped. But i don’t feel fat. Anyway, i’ve been running 6 to 8 miles 6 days a week for 4 months now and thers no significant change. I’ve tried diet alterations but nothing helps.(i have to eat more than 2000 calories a day tho, i cant run that distance on less food) Please help.

It’s got to do with what you’re eating, plain and simple. If you have to eat 2000 calories a day, make sure it’s all good calories. complex carbs (whole grains, good starches) lean meats, and lots of dark leafy greens.

Just wondering because I have a nice six pack when flex slightly, but its less visible when i’m completely relaxed. Are most of those people in magazines or at the beach flexing most of the time?
I’m already at 8 % body fat.

i guess it’s totally possible, if you can get your bodyfat % low enough and you can get your abs large enough. If i had to guess though id say people at the beach are probably tensing up some of the time and the ones in magazines almost certainly are – infact they may even have the kind of muscle definition makeup they use in films to make the muscles ‘show up’ more.

It will keep your stomach flat.
I suggest doing Ball Crunches, as well as Machine Crunches. Also you can do Oblique Crunches.

Diet only goes so far. If your abs are weak, they don’t hold your organs tight and you get more of a belly.

Men’s Health always has good simple abs routines. Ach Accounts I found the female version of their site and it looks like it has quite a few articles for abs exercise ideas:

Okay, so I’m a pretty skinny dude.
I only have a little bit of body fat on my stomach, but I don’t really want to go running to get Ach Routing Number it off.
Can I get six packs abs just from doing lots of sit ups?
If I need to get rid of the excess fat, are their any alternatives that are better than running?

If you’re slim but have no six pack, then you’ll need to build up the stomach muscles using weights. Do crunches with weights. Only do one set of 20 reps to failure, wait about 4 days or until your abs aren’t sore anymore and repeat. As the weight you use increases so will your muscle mass. Be on a moderately high protein diet, also.
